Re-reservation of conscription is actually an extension of the deferment granted to critical enterprises, institutions or organizations from conscription for their employees during mobilization.

What is reservation of military personnel
According to art. 24 of the Law of Ukraine On Mobilization and Mobilization Preparation, reservation of those in reserve is carried out in peacetime and in wartime to ensure the functioning of government bodies, other government bodies, local governments, as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations during a special period.
Only enterprises, institutions or organizations that are recognized as critical enterprises of the military-industrial complex, economic or fuel and energy sectors can reserve their employees.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a comprehensive list of criteria for determining which enterprises, institutions and organizations are critical for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population during a special period by its Resolution No. 76 on January 27, 2023.
For example, explains Vladimir Romanchuk, enterprises in the fuel and energy complex must comply with two items from the list, enterprises in the economic sector must comply with three.
How to book workers
Before booking workers, the enterprise must determine whether the institution meets the required number of items from the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
After this, the company submits an application with a list of workers who need to be booked to the Ministry of Economy.
After the economic department contacts the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the workers will be booked.
The list is submitted in accordance with Appendix 1 in paper and/or electronic form, together with the appropriate justification and a certificate of the number of those liable for military service in accordance with Appendix 2.
Resubmitting a reservation request
It should be noted that a company reservation for each declared employee is usually issued for a period of six months.
So every six months, critical workers will have to resubmit their reservation request.
How to rebook workers
How to re-book workers (as well as under the condition of initial booking) is described in detail in the procedure for booking those liable for military service, approved by the same resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 76.
What needs to be taken into account when making initial and re-bookings for those liable for military service
Those who are involved in the initial or re-booking of military personnel should take into account that it is usually possible to book 50% of employees (together with managers) or even more if the company can justify that this is the optimal number of people for booking.
The list of critical reservation workers is formed by representatives of the enterprise.
When choosing, they should be guided by the preservation of the operation of the enterprise and its status, critically important in its sector.
However, notes Vladimir Romanchuk, if an enterprise books the wrong workers, it risks losing the status of a critical institution, and future bookings will not take place.
Extension of booking period from mobilization
Recall that on May 7, the Cabinet of Ministers extended for another month the deferments from conscription for military service during mobilization, granted to those liable for military service by decisions of the Ministry of Economy.
According to the government decision, the validity periods of the deferment from conscription for military service during mobilization, granted to those liable for military service by the relevant decisions of the Ministry of Economy in accordance with Resolution No. 76 of January 27, 2023, which did not end on the day of this decision, are automatically extended for one month.
