Ramstein-23 started in Brussels

On Thursday, June 13, the 23rd meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format began in Brussels.

On the fields of Ramstein, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, met with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin as part of a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine.

— We discussed in detail planning for Ukraine's defense needs, with particular attention to the process of mobilizing and equipping our combat brigades. It is important to note that this week at the G7 summit Ukraine and the United States will sign a bilateral security agreement. This is a significant step towards a just world for Ukraine, — Umerov wrote on his Facebook page.

He thanked his American partners for supporting our country.

The G7 Summit is taking place in Italy: what Ukraine expects

The G7 Summit started in Italy. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced important decisions for Ukraine, as well as the signing of security agreements with the United States and Japan.

The head of state noted that the main topics at the G7 for Ukraine are the development of a coalition of fighters, optimization of pilot training and accelerated deliveries of aircraft.

Ukraine and Japan signed a security agreement

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced that Ukraine and Japan signed a security agreement for 10 years.

According to him, during 2024 Japan will provide Ukraine with $4.5 billion and will support Ukraine “during the entire 10-year term of the agreement”.

The security agreement with Japan provides for:

  • security and defense assistance;
  • cooperation in the humanitarian, technical and financial spheres;
  • work together to implement the points of the Peace Formula;
  • sanctions against Russia and bringing it to justice.

Germany transfers the third Patriot system to Ukraine

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Brussels before a meeting of the Council Ukraine — NATO said his country would transfer a third Patriot system to Ukraine.

He noted that Germany had transferred a quarter of its stockpile of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, so it could not transfer more.

— We will transfer the third Patriot system to Ukraine. Thus, Germany provides a total of three systems for Ukraine, — said the minister.

The G7 agreed on the transfer of $50 billion to Ukraine at the expense of Russian assets

G7 leaders agreed on a $50 billion loan to Ukraine, drawing on proceeds from frozen Russian assets.

Bloomberg reports that the G7 countries will provide loans to Ukraine, which will be repaid using the proceeds from frozen funds worth about $280 billion, most of which are blocked in Europe.

The agreement is expected to provide critical support to Ukraine in the medium term and help meet its financing needs through 2025 and beyond.

Shelling of Mykolaiv region

On the afternoon of June 13, explosions occurred in the Nikolaev region.

According to the Chairman of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Vitaly Kim — There were hits, but there were no casualties.

Canada will transfer 2,300 obsolete CRV7 missiles to Ukraine

Canada will transfer to Ukraine 2,300 obsolete CRV7 unguided aircraft missiles, which it was going to dispose of.

Unguided CRV7 aircraft missiles with a caliber of 70 mm are designed to destroy ground targets.

It is noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will also transfer 130 thousand rounds of small arms ammunition and 29 Nanuk remote-controlled combat modules, which can be installed on various types of armored vehicles.

The government granted the military the right to reimbursement of dental services

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has granted veterans and military personnel the right to reimbursement for the cost of routine dental care. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs allocated 1 billion UAH for the implementation of this program.

Reimbursable services include tooth extractions, restorations and fillings. You can receive them once a year, and the total cost of assistance should not exceed 25 thousand UAH.

This applies to combatants, persons with disabilities due to war, as well as military personnel who have not yet received the status of a combat participant, but continue to serve in the army.

The National Health Service of Ukraine (NSHSU) will develop a form of agreement for medical institutions wishing to join the implementation of this project. After this, medical institutions will provide free dental care.

A heart surgeon was kidnapped in Kyiv for a ransom of $2 million

Kyiv law enforcement officers detained one of the men who participated in the kidnapping of a heart surgeon for the purpose of obtaining a fabulously large ransom — $2 million

According to the investigation, the suspects agreed to kidnap a doctor for ransom.

When the victim was walking through the yard, a car drove up to him, from which men unknown to him got out. One of them introduced himself as a law enforcement officer.

Next, the suspects forced the victim into the car, put a black bag over his head and injected an unknown substance into his leg.

The doctor was told that it was a “poison”, which would lead to inevitable death. For providing “antidote” started demanding $2 million
