On November 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kherson region had secured several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper.

The Ukrainian military carried out a series of successful actions. One of the main goals of the operation is to push the invaders as far as possible from the right bank in order to protect civilians from constant shelling.

Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius visited Ukraine this week. They announced new military aid packages for Ukraine.

The United States is providing weapons worth $100 million. The assistance package included: the HIMARS rocket artillery system and ammunition; artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm caliber; Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems; tube-launched optically tracked wire-guided (TOW) missiles; Stinger anti-aircraft missiles; more than 3 million rounds of small arms ammunition; cool weather gear.

Germany is providing four more IRIS-T SLM systems, 20 thousand 155 mm artillery shells, 8 thousand anti-tank mines, reconnaissance drones, and radar systems. The cost of this package is €1.3 billion. Subsequently, it became known that Berlin will also send another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Dutch government has allocated an additional €2 billion in military aid to Ukraine in 2024.

Lithuania donated 3 million rounds of ammunition, remote detonation systems and winter equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

And the Bulgarian parliament approved the free provision of 100 armored personnel carriers.

On November 22, the 17th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein-17) took place.

At it, in particular, they discussed providing our state with additional air defense systems, especially on the eve of winter, when the Russian Federation could launch a new wave of energy terror.

Proposals from members of other coalitions to help Ukraine were also heard.

The key decision was the formation of a new coalition of ground-based air defense systems. 20 countries have joined it, with Germany and France leading the way.

In addition, Great Britain and Norway, as part of a maritime coalition, will look for ways to strengthen security in the Black Sea.

As explained in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the format of Ramstein’s work has been reoriented to long-term strategic planning since September 2023. That is, a transition to the Ramstein 2.0 format took place: from meeting the urgent needs of Ukraine to more systematic, planned and long-term work.

Meanwhile , the European Parliament agreed to open an office in Ukraine . According to Western media, the purpose of this step is to strengthen relations with the Ukrainian parliament, in particular, to establish its connection with the “relevant committees” of the European Parliament.

Vladimir Zelensky for the first time announced that the Russian Federation has a plan to overthrow the government in Ukraine called Maidan-3. He referred to intelligence data.

According to the president, Moscow is seeking to create “chaos” within our country in order to ultimately remove the president. The enemy would like to carry out this operation before the end of the year.

And NSDC Secretary Alexey Danilov said that the Kremlin had developed a plan for victory over Ukraine, which included a number of steps – military, informational, political.

According to Danilov, the occupiers want to shake Ukrainian unity, Western support, as well as the motivation and combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Strike on the border with Poland: hundreds of trucks blocked

Road accident involving Ukrainians in Poland

On November 19, President Vladimir Zelensky announced the replacement of the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Tatyana Ostashchenko.

Major General of the Medical Service Anatoly Kazmirchuk became the new commander. The personnel changes took place on the proposal of the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.

The Ministry of Defense explained that rotation of military personnel in positions is a normal practice, and the medical sector in the Armed Forces of Ukraine needed a reboot.

At the same time, the department denied media reports about the possible dismissal of the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev and the commander of the OSGV Tavriy Alexander Tarnavsky. No such decisions were made.

This was revenge for the recent Russian missile attack on the 128th separate mountain assault brigade in the Zaporozhye region during the award ceremony.

Retribution took place on November 19, the so-called day of the Russian Missile Forces and Artillery, at the time of the award ceremony.

On November 18, President Vladimir Zelensky signed decrees that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against ex-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, ex-Minister Dmitry Tabachnyk, ex-people's deputies Dmitry Svyatash and Oleg Tsarev.

The restrictions also included 37 legal entities that were likely involved in the deportations of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.

In addition, the president introduced sanctions against 147 Russian citizens and other persons associated with the Russian Federation. One of the lists contains the names of 60 individuals who are citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Belarus, Germany, Uzbekistan, Austria, and Great Britain.

The sanctions list included: former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Vladimir Sivkovich; Leonid Kharchenko, accused of the crash of airliner MH17; ex-chief of the Russian Presidential Administration Anatoly Chubais and other persons.

Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada supported the introduction of sanctions against the Russian Federation and Belarus in the military-industrial sphere for a period of 50 years.

On November 20, the Ukrainian national team played a draw with the Italian team in the final qualifying match for Euro 2024.
