On the night of July 29, 2022, Russians fired at a penal colony in Elenovka, where they were holding Azovstal defenders who were prisoners of war. Rallies were held in the United States to honor the memory of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers.

In Washington, near the White House, protesters created an installation of bloody pillows and candles. This attracted a lot of attention. People came up, found out information and sympathized, – the activist emphasized.

She emphasized that after the terrorist attack, Russia did not allow any experts to the crime scene in Elenivka, and did not facilitate the investigation. The duty of activists who are fighting for the return of all prisoners is to remind people of what is happening.

Many people who came up to us during the rally did not know about this event. We see that there is a need for such actions and explanations in media campaigns, said Gliten.
