Radars are more important than the Crimean Bridge: how their destruction could affect Russia

Powerful blow to the radar station

As Rustamzade noted, recently a Ukrainian drone managed to hit the Voronezh-M over-the-horizon air target detection radar station. This is a really serious target that was worth hitting.

Don’t say that the Crimean Bridge is a symbol for Putin. The missile attack warning stations were damaged. This is the nuclear triad. And someone twitched? Someone remembered about this? – said the military analyst.

It is obvious that such radar stations are much more important than the same Crimean Bridge. Although it is also important for the occupiers. But without a radar station, Russia can scan the airspace much worse, which could ultimately lead to missed missiles.

Strike on the radar in Russia: briefly

• On May 27, a Ukrainian drone attacked the Voronezh-M over-the-horizon air target detection radar station. It is located near Orsk, which is already 1800 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. This is a new record. Previously, our defenders had not been able to hit targets at such a distance using drones.
• Then satellite images from the location of the radar station were published online. The photographs show dark spots that were not there before. Unfortunately, the available images do not yet allow us to assess in detail how serious the damage to this station is.
• It is known that such radars perform early warning tasks about the launch of ballistic missiles. Such systems help Russia see what is happening at a distance of about 6 thousand kilometers. They are part of the nuclear triad. In total, the occupiers have 10 such stations.
