On the eve, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He spoke about the victims of the war, and about military assistance and about the possible consequences if the world does not resist Russian aggression. At the same time, Putin's friends are trying to promote other messages in the international community.
Yevgenia Kravchuk, MP from the Servant of the People faction, told Channel 24 about this.
She emphasized that Ukraine was in the focus of attention in Davos. According to her, Vladimir Zelensky actually opened the official day with his speech. He was the most awaited.
Kravchuk said that during his speech, the president mentioned that no one should have any illusions that it is possible to force Ukraine to make concessions or give up part of its territory.
For such statements are already being heard. Putin's friends have come to their senses after the first shock and are trying to promote such messages that the aggressor (Russia) cannot be pressed against the wall, because something unpredictable will happen. – explained the deputy.
However, the Ukrainian delegation convinces that it is necessary to fight for international values, because otherwise some aggressor in every corner of the world, having weapons, will attack other countries and disrupt the world order, and then there will be a complete disaster.
< p dir="ltr"> She added that the American scholar Timothy Snyder said bluntly during the forum in Davos that there will be no democracy if Ukraine loses .
“Then everyone will think that democracy is a weak form, and dictators and autocrats will “wake up” and there will be hybrid democratic countries like Hungary. After all, it's like a democratic country, but if you look closely, you can see that not everything is so simple” , – says Kravchuk.
Zelensky delivered the first message – that Ukraine will not give up. The second message is that in order to defeat us, we need weapons, effective sanctions against Russia and, of course, Ukraine needs a new “Marshall Plan,” the deputy stressed.
In her opinion, with regard to the latter (the Marshall plan), it is necessary that these be concrete steps. And the Ukrainian government already has a proposal.
“Some cities will need to be built from scratch. In particular, cities have been bombed near the Kiev region, we need to start everything from scratch. And, of course, we the structure of the economy will change, we will actually become a great Israel. Everything will be rebooted,” she replied.
According to Kravchuk, Ukraine will have:
- at the heart of the defense industry,
- information technologies related to the security sector,
- agriculture is moving to processing products, and not just exporting raw materials.

- Zelensky is convinced that the war could have been prevented if the peace had been preventive. Therefore, he urged not to wait for Russian shots and the use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, but to implement sanctions: an embargo on Russian energy carriers, shutting down banks, stopping trade.
- Zelensky also drew attention to trade. After all, there are still global companies that openly or covertly trade in Russia. The President invited these companies to enter and work on the Ukrainian market.
- Zelensky also invited the forum participants to take part in the restoration of Ukraine, the amount of work of which was colossal. After all, our state suffered more than a trillion dollars in losses due to the Russian war.
