The Russian Embassy in Britain issued a cynical statement calling not to shoot Ukrainian soldiers, but to hang them. This terrible publication on Twitter has already been condemned in our Foreign Ministry.

Oleg Nikolenko turned to the world on this occasion of the ministry. He emphasized that Russian diplomats are no less criminals than those who directly kill the inhabitants of Ukraine. We are talking about a tweet where the Russians publicly supported the “humiliating execution” for the fighters of the Prokopenko regiment.
All of them should be held accountable
Nikolenko called for reading this official Russian statement every time someone says that Russia “cannot be isolated”.There is no difference between Russian diplomats calling for the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war, and Russian troops doing so in Olenovka. All of them are accomplices of these war crimes and must be held accountable, – wrote the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
Earlier, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, also reacted sharply to this. “Russia is a terrorist country. In the 21st century, only savages and terrorists can tell at the diplomatic level that people deserve to be executed by hanging,” the official emphasized.
What preceded this
- On July 29, the Russians killed dozens of Ukrainian prisoners in the colony of Alenovka in the occupied part of Donbas.
- They blamed Ukraine for this. They say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine deliberately hit the place where our Heroes are illegally kept. This was immediately refuted by the General Staff, since there was not a single artillery attack on this settlement that night.
- The fact that this was a planned operation is indicated by several facts at once. In particular, the fact that on the eve of the murder of prisoners, the occupiers made a propaganda film, from which they took calls to kill the defenders of Azovstal. Also, before blowing up the premises, some of the prisoners were transferred to them, and explosives experts established that the colony was blown up from the inside. That is, there were no artillery hits.
