Putin has confirmed contacts with Trump Margarita Voloshina

The Kremlin has admitted for the first time that contacts with the administration of US President Donald Trump “really exist.” Previously, this information was constantly denied.

Vladimir Putin's representative Dmitry Peskov announced this to journalists at a briefing on Wednesday, February 5, 24 Channel reports with reference to The Moscow Times.

What Peskov said about contacts with Washington

The dictator's spokesman acknowledged the contacts and reported that the Russian side's interaction with the administration of US President Donald Trump is taking place through the “line of individual departments.”

Contacts… do indeed exist and they have intensified recently. But I can't tell you any other details,” Peskov said.

Note that this is the first time the Kremlin has publicly confirmed contacts with the new US President's team. Recall that back in late January, US President Donald Trump hinted that he had probably already spoken with Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin also signaled that they would hold a telephone conversation in the near future. It is noted that both sides are defending their positions ahead of this expected conversation.
