Canada has extended sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The list includes 129 individuals and 63 legal entities of the terrorist country.
Canada has also banned the export to Russia of certain chemical elements for use in electronics. There is also a ban on the import, purchase or acquisition of weapons of the aggressor country, ammunition and other weapons, wherever they are located or processed, from Russia or from any person in Russia.
The Government of Canada adopted a new sanctions list
On February 24, Canada imposed sanctions against 122 Russians, including members of the lower house of parliament of the terrorist country, who voted for legislation related to the invasion and attempted annexation of 4 regions of Ukraine.< /p>
Also, among the Russians subject to restrictions, there aredeputy prime ministers, ministers and other members of the presidential apparatusand the Russian armed forces, as well as family members of sanctioned persons. In particular, the list includes:
- Putin's assistant Maxim Oreshkin,
- wife and son of Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev Svetlana Medvedev and Ilya Medvedev,
- deputy head of the Russian government Mikhail Mishustin.
The sanctions list also includes13 federal Russian institutions, including:
- both chambers parliament,
- Putin's political party “United Russia”,
- Federal Security Bureau,
- Rosfinmonitoring and its director.
In addition, Canada imposed sanctions against 50 companies and 7 top managers involved in the Russian defense industry In particular, we are talking about the production of tanks, missiles and weapons systems that the Russians use against Ukraine.

- On February 24, Great Britain imposed sanctions against 92 individuals and legal entities from Russia. Among them are the leaders of Rosatom.
- The United States also imposed new sanctions. In particular, restrictions were imposed against 50 high-ranking officials of the aggressor country.
