What the occupiers are up to
Alarming reports are coming from the Luhansk region: Russian troops are literally pouring fire not only on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also on peaceful towns and villages.

Now the most fierce battles are actually taking place in the suburbs of Severodonetsk. Namely, 7-8 kilometers from the city, in the village of Shchedrishchevo, which, unfortunately, the Russian invaders managed to enter.
During the offensive in the direction of Severodonetsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an enemy attack near the village of Metelkino, the enemy retreated.
According to the information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Severodonetsk direction, our defenders are taking measures to prevent the expansion of the wedging area and the further advance of the Russian occupation forces. Active hostilities continue.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are dealing with the new tactics of the aggressor
It should be said that in the Luhansk region there is a change in the tactics of military confrontation on the part of the occupying forces. If earlier they stormed cities, that is, they made direct fire contact in the center of the city – this applies to both Popasna and Rubizhne – now they use the tactics of flanking the strongholds of the defense of the Ukrainian army.
The point is that the Russians are trying to bypass the strongholds of the Ukrainian defense, avoiding casualties among their own personnel.
This tactic was clearly manifested on May 20, when a flank bypass of Ukrainian positions near the villages of Troitskoye, Vrubovka and Druzhba was carried out.
I also emphasize that the most combat-ready forces of the Russian occupation army are currently involved in the Luhansk region. This is the 40th Marine Brigade and units of the 76th Airborne Division. The latter are directly involved in the actual flank coverage of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Believe in your army
If we talk about what is happening now in the Lugansk region, the Russian troops are not giving up their attempts to take control of the so-called “road of life”. This is the route Lisichansk – Bakhmut. Battles are fought 7-10 kilometers from this route.
But despite this, there is no room for panic. All statements by the occupiers that the Luhansk region has allegedly been taken under full control and that a “cauldron” will be created in the near future do not correspond to reality. The Armed Forces of Ukraine firmly hold their lines. Over the previous day alone, 11 attacks by Russian troops were repulsed, up to 30 pieces of equipment were destroyed.
At the same time, I do not reassure the Ukrainians. It is worth noting that the occupiers are now actually using the tactics of the Second World War, that is, the tactics of counteracting our defense – they take it not by skill, but by numbers. And the numerical advantage of the occupying troops is 5:1. And they are trying to advance deep into Ukrainian territories due to superiority in manpower and equipment.
But if we look at the real advance of the invaders in the Luhansk region, then this is 15-20 kilometers per month of the active phase of hostilities. This is clearly not enough to say that the plans, first of all, of the Russian political leadership to enter the administrative borders of the Lugansk region, took place as such. 1300 tanks.
