There is a demand in society for the demobilization of the military, but this is not provided for by law.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Salli for the newspaper Il Foglio.

— If tomorrow half the army simply goes home, then we should have surrendered on the first day. If tomorrow half the army goes home, then Putin will simply kill us all. Absolutely everyone, – said the president.

Mobilization in Ukraine

As Zelensky noted, it is necessary to work on the quality of mobilization in Ukraine.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is mobilizing a fairly large number of recruits over 25 years old, and the military has rotations and vacations. However, Zelensky noted that this is not enough, since it is important to improve the quality of mobilization in the country.

By the way, earlier a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedir Venislavsky expressed the opinion that demobilization in Ukraine before the end of the war is unlikely.
