Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia is ready for peace talks with Ukraine. However, the next step of the aggressor country could be catastrophic.

Olga Romanova, chairwoman of the “Sidyashchaya Rus” charity foundation, expressed this opinion to Channel 24, noting that the West does not yet understand this.

According to the head of the charity, even talk of negotiations with Russia has already led the world to a dead end. Unfortunately, most people still do not understand the reality and that Putin will not stop.

It is so good to negotiate. But if we dig deeper? On what terms? Putin does not want and will not negotiate with Zelensky, which immediately puts an end to the negotiations, – Romanova noted.

It is obvious that the aggressor country does not aim at peace agreements, but at securing temporarily occupied territories, continuing to terrorize Ukrainians with attacks and even, according to the chairman of the charitable foundation, interfering in the elections in Ukraine.

The Russian dictator is already trying to flood the domestic politics of various countries with his influence, for example, Slovakia.

I think Putin is counting on Yuriy Boyko in Ukraine, although this may change. However, it is clear that if in recent years Putin has only hoped for military operations and occupations, then by the end of 2024 he will strengthen another direction, that is, again influence on domestic Ukrainian politics, she said.

Romanova added that the West may not understand the catastrophic consequences; for these countries, the interference of one country in the domestic government of another is strange. However, Ukraine does not yet have the means to counteract.

By the way, the head of the Come Back Alive foundation, Taras Chmut, believes that negotiations may begin as early as next year; Ukraine has trump cards for them. They are talking about control over the territory in Kursk region, limiting the shadow fleet of Russia and strong positions in Africa. According to him, our country is now fighting not only for territories, but also for the fate of the whole world.
