Putin will not attack you with tanks: Zelensky on the indecisiveness of Central Asian leaders regarding the Peace Summit

If any of the leaders of the Central Asian countries appear at the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, then Russian President Vladimir Putin “will not attack them with tanks”.

With this statement, President Vladimir Zelensky criticized the leaders of the Central Asian countries for their uncertainty regarding the war in Ukraine.

The head of state noted that Ukraine is like a “small child” is taking steps towards peace and therefore needs to be supported.

— We invited (to the Global Peace Summit – Ed.) everyone, including the leaders of Central Asia. And what’s terrible about that? That Putin won’t be at the Summit? That is, imagine: could he go to one of your countries with tanks because of this? No. This is not enough. Then tell me what those who do not participate in the Summit are afraid of? They are afraid of losing something, that is, relations with the Kremlin,” the president said during an interview with representatives of Central Asian media.

Zelensky about the Peace Summit

The President of Ukraine noted that the Peace Summit is a certain “dialogue” and suggested imagining that any of the Central Asian countries were left alone in the war against “no matter which aggressor”.

He emphasized that the participation of Central Asian countries in the Peace Summit is important, first of all, by supporting “the event itself”.

— And I don’t even mind if they (Central Asian leaders, — Ed.) express some vision of their own. Well, okay. But say about it, says Zelensky.
