Vladimir Putin systematically announces different versions of why Russia is fighting against Ukraine. The change in rhetoric is part of the system by which the head of the Kremlin operates.

Such an opinionChannel 24said Timur Olevsky, a Russian opposition journalist for The Insider. In particular, Vladimir Putin, speaking to the propaganda media, said that allegedly Russia did not start any hostilities, but “wants to end them.”

Although at the end of January, the head of the terrorist state said that the in Ukraine is “protection of Russia”. Vladimir Putin contradicts himself. As Olevsky noted, the head of the Kremlin always did this.

“Putin has this technology, and he was probably taught this at the KGB school. There he was taught something that allowed him to conclude that it works. He constantly changes goals (wars – Channel 24) and each time voices new things,” the journalist said.

Why the dictator announces new war goals in Ukraine

Since Putin is constantly changing the war goal in Ukraine, people are all time feel disoriented.

The brain of a healthy person is forced to look for logic in these words. We start discussing how pointless the things he says are. And while we are talking about it, he will come up with the following 3 goals and tell us again,” Olevsky noted.

The Insider journalist believes that Putin’s rhetoric is focused mainly on Russian society.

If the Russians have doubts about the previous goals, then they are given a new portion.. Then they start saying: “Ah, yes, we are already fighting for something else. Dad said a new goal,” Olevsky said.

The real goals of Putin's war against Ukraine

The journalist emphasized that it is not necessary to believe any of the statements of the Russian dictator. After all, in fact, Putin is fighting for his own goal, which he will not voice directly. According to Olevsky, the real goals of the dictator in the war are:

  1. Defeat Ukraine.
  2. Prove something to the West.
  3. Preserve your power and, probably, pass it on by inheritance.

The journalist noted that Putin and his entourage probably hope for the succession of Russian power.

“If not for the war, Putin would have had to leave”

Not for the sake of his ideals, but to keep his place in power.

To do this, Putin needs to stretch out a little longer and stay in his chair. And in this sense, this war is just for that. Because if there was no war, then Putin would have to leave in the next 10 years anyway. Olevsky said.

He added that, having stepped down from power, the Russian dictator would have to take all his close people with him. But Putin really does not want this. The journalist noted that, in fact, the head of the Kremlin is led by very low aspirations, which he tries to cover up with nonsense like the “historical mission of Russia.”
