Against the backdrop of the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the counteroffensive, Putin is holding a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council. Given the failures of the Russian troops at the front, he is trying to somehow cheer everyone up.
Russian opposition journalist Igor Yakovenko told Channel 24 about this. According to him, everything that is being done now at the front is sheer stupidity on the part of Putin's command.

Yakovenko said that it is impossible to convey in words what Russian TV channels are now showing. After all, the Ukrainian army has seized the strategic initiative and is advancing on all fronts. And the propagandists do not understand how to explain the failures of their army.

Putin is trying to somehow encourage his people
Yakovenko noted that Putin, meanwhile, decided to arrange military exercises in the Far East. And the chief of the Russian General Staff, instead of leading the process in a war that is destructive for Russia, participates in these exercises. This is generally complete idiocy.
According to him, the situation for the Putinists is very alarming, something has begun to dawn on them. Therefore, you need to somehow cheer up, somehow explain to them how to behave in this situation.
