The Ukrainian President believes that Vladimir Putin can propose his own formula for ending the war at the BRICS forum. However, the Russian authorities are demonstrating that they are not ready for negotiations unless they are held on their ultimatum conditions.

Political scientist Oleg Lesnoy told Channel 24 what acceptable option for ending the war would suit Vladimir Putin. Earlier, the head of the Kremlin said that Russia is “ready to end the war,” but “on the basis of the Istanbul agreements.” Otherwise, it will continue to fight.

The solution is obvious

Putin can offer, according to Lesnoy, the so-called Russian compromise. This is when the opposite side agrees to the Kremlin's ultimatum.

Ukraine is trying to respond to the Russians' plan with its own, urging our partners to provide us with the necessary force.

Putin understands only force. The Leningrad back alley taught him only this, gave him a “ticket to life.” And this is the only way he understands, he emphasized.

Therefore, this decision is obvious, but for its adoption we need the political will of our partners, who must transfer the necessary means of struggle to Ukraine. And then, according to the political scientist, we will have to force Russia to peace together.

However, the Western allies are hiding behind their own illusions. Each of them has their own, like, now is not our time, we still have a long way to go – there are still several countries or an ocean between Russia and us, – he noted.

However, as Lesnoy emphasized, we have been through all this. The Second World War developed almost the same way. Then there were also illusions, a desire to talk, to pay with others.

It is difficult to answer whether the politicians who came to power in the countries of the civilized world under the slogan “trading means not fighting” will be able to change the program. In some countries they manage to do this, in others – not, – Oleg Lesnoy noted.

A zone of turbulence is now starting in the USA. Therefore, he added, it is difficult to say whether Western politicians will think like adults or will try to hide in their own “houses”.

By the way, Volodymyr Zelensky believes that at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Putin can propose his own formula for ending the war. In order for his plan to be supported and agreed upon, he needs, according to the Ukrainian president, some kind of foundation. Therefore, Putin needs a “clear platform”, which is the BRICS summit.
