What happened in the Kiev region

  • Part The Kyiv region, in particular Bucha, Irpen and nearby villages, was under the occupation of Russian invaders for almost a month. When the Armed Forces of Ukraine kicked out the infidels, the world saw a terrible picture. Dozens of bodies of dead civilians lay on the streets.
  • A mass grave containing more than 300 bodies was found in Bucha. Most of the dead were shot.
  • It turned out that the Russians mocked civilians: they killed, tortured and raped the local population. In total, more than 1,200 civilians became victims of the Russians.
  • The Security Service of Ukraine has already identified almost 900 infidels who committed these atrocities. Several Russian soldiers and officers were declared suspected. There are also the first sentences – 6 Russian prisoners of war received terms from 8 to 15 years.
  • Tormented victims are still being found. For example, on May 21, the bodies of two more civilians killed by the invaders were found in the Buchansky district – an elderly woman and her 27-year-old granddaughter. They lived in the village of Buzovo.

After that, the Verkhovna Rada recognized the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine as genocide. The parliaments of Estonia, Latvia, Canada, Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic agreed with this.

But in Russia, soldiers who committed inhuman atrocities were awarded. So, on April 18, Putin awarded the 64th brigade the honorary title of “Guards” for “exemplary actions” during the war against Ukraine. The dictator said that it was “for mass heroism and courage, fortitude and courage.”
