Russia is trying to intimidate Europe and Ukraine, and has a completely different, “soft” rhetoric towards Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the future president only analyzes all the messages, statements and does not give any answer regarding his plans.

Vladimir Putin has shown by his actions that he is not strong, which Trump does not like very much. Political expert, PhD Andrey Gorodnitsky told Channel 24 about this, noting that Ukrainian diplomacy is trying to work as much as possible with the new administration of the future president.

Why the new US president is waiting

According to the political expert, the Russians have two different rhetoric: one aimed specifically at Trump, that they are supposedly ready to communicate and be friends, the other at the EU and Ukraine, which Russia is trying to intimidate with threats, for example, about nuclear weapons.

The Russians do not understand that this information can be passed on to Trump, his analysts will read it and draw certain conclusions. Russia has this rhetoric right now, because it does not know what Trump's response will be when he becomes president, Gorodnitsky explained.

The future US president is now collecting all the information about the war: he is monitoring the rhetoric of the aggressor country, analyzing proposals from Ukraine, but is not giving any feedback. Therefore, neither our country nor the enemy knows what to expect during this month.

Ukraine now needs to lobby its interests. For example, the Ukrainian delegation, in particular Andriy Yermak, visited the United States to meet with the Trump administration. Ukrainian political and public figures are also working in the US to convince the team of the future US president to provide Ukraine with assistance in the future.

Interesting! Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman expressed the opinion that the Russians are in a certain way “helping” Ukrainian diplomacy to show that they are not ready for any negotiations. Thus, Russian oligarch Malofeev stated that Putin would not agree to Trump's peace proposal, to which Keith Kellogg, special envoy for Ukraine and the aggressor country, reacted sharply.

The Russians in the US and Europe create an image that they are peacekeepers and very powerful, financing everything they can.
