Piontkovsky about Putin's speech at the parade/Channel 24 Collage
On May 9, Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at the Victory Day parade on Red Square. However, he looked pathetic, because he only made excuses. Experts joke that he was rehearsing an acquittal before the future tribunal.
Russian publicist Andrey Piontkovsky told Channel 24 about this.
According to him, many expected some “turn” from Putin at the May 9 parade. And his speech was interesting from a psychological point of view.
Putin's speech surprised me. 90% of his speech was a short summary of the last word before the war crimes tribunal. These were endless excuses that they were “forced”, “didn't want to”, “couldn't do otherwise”, “we were provoked” and so on. What the hell is the leader of a military nation?, asks Piontkovsky.
He added that on the eve of someone “drained” his speech on the Internet. “There was one of the aggressive and combat options, but he could no longer say what was published in advance,” the expert believes.
The publicist added that Putin sent an army to the war, which does not rotate in the best way for Russia, so a motivational speech was expected from him.
“Here he is for the first time addressing the people, who expected some analysis of the results, goals and prospects from him, or even a formal announcement war. It would have been logical. But instead, there was a solid excuse, and Putin did not say a word about the purpose of the war “, Piontkovsky assures.
In his opinion, one does not need to be a psychologist to understand that Putin was setting himself up and constantly saying “no, it was our right decision” … The publicist added that this was how the Russian president persuaded himself.
He's just scared. He no longer knows what to fear – defeat and a tribunal or a military coup. When a person lists 20 reasons for his actions, it means that he is hiding one that he does not want to talk about. He repented for what he had done. It was a pitiful sight,” Piontkovsky said.
According to him, Putin will not last long – neither politically nor physically.
“He is in an internal dialogue, and during the whole speech he only “barked in Putin’s style” a few times. In general, he is a hunched and broken old one. ”Did you notice the detail that the guards covered his legs with a blanket?”, the expert summed up.

By the way, on Red Square in Moscow on May 9, a miserable parade took place to “victory day” . The highlight was Putin's senile speech. From the podium, he once again repeated the propaganda theses about “a single Soviet people.”
Putin called the war unleashed against Ukraine “protection of the people of Donbass.” And despite all the earlier threats, he has not officially declared war on Ukraine or even mobilization.
