Russia, because of the unleashed war against Ukraine, blocking all our aspirations to join the EU or NATO. Russian diplomats on the sidelines spoke directly about this a few years ago.
Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko told Channel 24 about this. The specialist also noted that Ukraine has many friends in the EU, who, of course, support us.
For example, the President of Poland Duda generally compares Putin with Hitler and tries to convey that it is impossible to compromise with him, a political scientist gives an example.
For Putin, any compromise is a weakness, only reinforces his aggression. But, unfortunately, there are fears in Europe in the face of Putin's Russia, Fesenko adds.
European partners still give us weapons, there are huge changes in this issue, Vladimir Fesenko explains. According to him, before the full-scale war, the United States and Europe were categorically against providing Ukraine with lethal weapons.
“Our allies are still afraid to give us aviation, heavy and long-range weapons, because, they say, there is a risk that we will attack the territory of Russia. Unfortunately, many European leaders have these fears,” Fesenko says.
But we are overcoming these difficulties, because the weapons that were not given to us in March or April are now belatedly , but they deliver, the political scientist adds.
