Putin may start purges after the elections: who will be at risk

by alex

The so-called presidential elections continue in Russia, the result of which is not difficult to predict. After his “victory,” Vladimir Putin will certainly feel more confident in power and may begin “purges” among officials and elites.

Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ivan Timochko told 24 Channel that such mass purges in Russia are, as a rule, very classified information. Perhaps over time, Ukrainian intelligence will voice it, and when we find out about it, we will be horrified by those numbers. However, if the Russians do not spare their people on the battlefield, then what can we say about their internal “squabbles”.

If we don’t hear about repressions, it doesn’t mean they don’t exist

How many Russian commanders can be named at the level of colonel and general – Sergei Shoigu, Valery Gerasimov, Mikhail Teplinsky. There are actually several hundred generals in the Russian armed forces. There are about a hundred of them in the law enforcement agencies, in the National Guard.

They were responsible for specific tasks, for specific directions. If we don’t hear that they are under repression or sitting in dungeons, it doesn’t mean that they are not there,” suggested the Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

At the same time Now we are seeing how the heads of oil structures or people who were in their management, for some reason began to massively resort to “suicide”, become “heartbreakers” or for other reasons began to die under mysterious circumstances.

We do not know, in his opinion, how many Russian generals, colonels at the operational-tactical level, who were responsible for specific settlements or for a specific territory, garrison, will now fall under repression.

“Since there is no longer a political elite in Russia, Putin's attention is directed to cleaning up the security forces and financial circles,” noted Ivan Timochko.

The so-called presidential elections continue in Russia

  • On March 15, voting began, which will last until March 17. However, just the day before, a tense situation had developed on the border in Russia due to its breakthrough by Russian volunteer units. Until now, clashes continue in the border areas, alarms are heard and explosions are heard. These events influenced the course of voting in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
  • In other regions of Russia, elections are also turbulent. At many polling stations, there are attempts at arson, firecrackers explode, and ballots in ballot boxes are covered with green paint and paint.
  • Problems with the operation of the electronic voting system are also recorded. Also, GUR cyber specialists broke the system of public services in Russia. It was through this site that Russians were supposed to vote online. However, it did not work.
  • In addition, the GUR told how the so-called elections are held in the occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian entrepreneurs and teachers are under intense pressure. If they refuse to “vote for Putin,” the former may be deprived of the opportunity to carry out entrepreneurial activities, and the latter may be fired from their jobs.
