The issue of assistance is extremely important for Ukraine and our Defense Forces. Thus, Majority Leader in the US Senate Chuck Schumer spoke about what the consequences could be if our state is not provided with assistance.

On the eve of the second anniversary of the full-scale Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Sumer arrived in Lvov. The democrat noted that if assistance is not provided to Ukraine, the Russian dictator may soon find himself at the Polish border, writes Channel 24.

What Chuck Schumer said

We were supposed to be here. There was no choice. It's a responsibility because there's a lot at stake. Here in Ukraine… It is obvious that Ukraine's freedom is at stake. And this is so important. “Not only for the Ukrainian people, but for the whole world,” said the representative of the Democrats.

According to him, Ukraine needs support, but the American delegation is in Ukraine also because The United States is now at a turning point and inflection point.

He noted that if we allow our enemies to destroy the world, they will not stop. Schumer noted that in this case we will see “bigger, bigger problems and conflicts in Europe, but not only in Europe.”

US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer noted that if we turn our backs on Ukraine, it will have consequences that will last a long time. According to him, this will mean that for decades America will lose diplomatically, politically, economically and militarily.

He added that the American delegation is in Ukraine to “tell the Ukrainian people that we are with you and to tell Europe that we are not leaving.”

What the consequences might be if you don't give Ukraine help

“American and Ukrainian officials told us that without help Ukraine would lose the war with dire consequences for the United States States and the West,” the democrat noted.

He added that if Ukraine had more weapons, the result would have been different.

If the United States does not provide assistance to Ukraine, then it will lose, and Russia will end up at the Polish border, Chuck Schumer emphasized.

According to him, Ukraine has wonderful people and great fighters.

“Just give us what they need. And there are a lot of things they need, but we've outlined some of them, including air defense, which has been so successful, including high-mars and attacks, including remote, counter-mining in long-term navigation. Everything that is in the add-on is available in the additional package,” Schumer noted.

In his speech, Schumer called on Speaker Johnson to come to Ukraine so that he could see the horrors of the war going on in Ukraine.
