Klitschko explained what the shelling of Kyiv may be connected with/State Emergency Service of Ukraine
The morning missile attack on Kyiv, which Russian infidels inflicted on the morning of June 26, could have “symbolic overtones” So, according to Vitali Klitschko, today's arrivals are connected with NATO summits and G7.
The mayor of the capital spoke about this on the air of the Kyiv channel. He recalled that the Russians shelled the city with a similar motive during the visit of UN Secretary General António Guteris.
Putin threatens the whole world
According to Klitschko, the Russians are trying to show their strength ahead of two important world meetings.
We know Putin loves symbols. The last time this territory was shelled was when the UN Secretary General arrived in Kyiv after meeting with Putin in Moscow. The NATO summit is about to take place. This may be due to this, – said Klitschko.
At the same time, this is a way to intimidate and demoralize the people of Kiev, added the head of the city. However, he assured that air defense works in the city, so there is no reason to panic.
Morning explosion in Kyiv: the main thing
- On June 26, the Russian military launched a missile attack on Kyiv. One of the enemy's missiles hit the 9-storey building, where a fire broke out. The fire spread over an area of about 300 square meters.
- The State Emergency Service notes that they received a message about a fire in the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv at 06:29 – a few minutes after the missile attack on the capital itself.
- After 20 minutes, Vitali Klitschko shared additional information. He noted that as a result of an enemy strike, residents were being evacuated from two residential buildings.
- He also reported that at least two people were injured in the enemy attack. They have already been hospitalized.
- According to Anton Gerashchenko, a girl was rescued from the rubble. In addition, he said that the body of the deceased man was found on the spot.
- Currently, rescuers are engaged in the elimination of the consequences of a missile attack. Because of this, the exact number of dead is still unknown, while they are talking about five victims.
This is the second enemy strike in June
- The previous missile attack on Kyiv by the Russian military also applied on the morning of 5 June. The explosions took place in the Darnytsia and Dneprovsky districts.
- At the same time, the mayor of Brovary, Igor Sapozhko, also wrote about the explosions heard in the Brovary UTC. He noted that the impact was near the territory of the community, but there was no data on the destruction.
- There could have been more destruction, because one enemy missile did not reach the target. She was shot down over the Obukhovsky district of the Kiev region by air defense forces. It is believed that the invaders attacked Kyiv from the Caspian Sea region: missiles were allegedly fired from Tu-95 aircraft.
