President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russian dictator Vladimir Putin knows how many people are dying because of the war in Ukraine . The head of state said that the death of a large number of people is part of Putin's plan.
The Ukrainian president made the corresponding statement in an interview with the legendary French actor Alain Delon. According to Zelensky, Putin is aware of what he is doing.
Zelensky is sure that Russia is losing
“He (Putin – Channel 24) understands perfectly well what he is doing. He knows how many people are dying. It's just that for him this is an inseparable part of the plan,” the president said.
According to Zelensky, Putin wants to restore the USSR, and people are just expendable material for him. At the same time, Zelensky noted that Putin made the majority of his nation believe in what he was doing.
There are social networks. We understand how people react. Many have been brainwashed by the information war, dirty information. Many have gone mad and rejoice when we are killed. It looks scary,” the head of state added.
Zelensky is sure that Russia will certainly lose, but people will pay a high price.
“Historically, they will lose, but the people on this earth. Many living things will die,” the president said.
Zelensky noted that recently the Ukrainian authorities received the body of a British volunteer who came to help the civilian population.
He was in captivity. For a month and a half they did not release the body. It was without parts,” the head of state said.
Zelensky added that in this way the Russians think they are intimidating people. “These are terrible signals,” the President said.
The President called Ukraine's losses in the war
Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with Alain Delon, spoke about the losses that Ukraine is now experiencing at the front. The head of state said that Ukraine loses about 50 soldiers every day, but these figures are not final.
Zelensky added that the losses of Ukraine are many times less than the Russians. Over the past day alone, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated another 550 occupiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 56,060 invaders have already died.
Zelensky and Delon exchanged compliments
During the conversation, Volodymyr Zelensky and Alain Delon complimented each other.
“I've never been as big an actor as you,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said as he began his exchange with Alain Delon. “I will never be such a brilliant and worthy president as you,” the French actor replied with a grin.
I am very glad that you support Ukraine, it is very important for us when famous people join in,” the Ukrainian president noted.
Vladimir Zelensky also drew parallels between cinema and war.
“In the cinema, a tragedy lasts one and a half to two hours and ends. This war, we have the feeling that it is endless. We really hope that it will end,” Zelensky summed up.
Alain Delon reads poetry by Taras Shevchenko
The Embassy of Ukraine in France announced Alain's project Delon reads the poems of Taras Shevchenko, launched jointly with the Cyril Viguier journalistic team.
“We are glad that we have witnessed this historic recording in Paris. Soon the general public in France and far beyond its borders will see the results of this Franco-Ukrainian cultural thanks to Alain Delon for such a powerful gesture of solidarity with UK Raina,” the message says.
