Vladimir Putin appeared in public for the first time after the United States allowed Ukraine to attack Russia. The Russian dictator accused Washington of “destroying the international security system” and threatened to strike countries that would transfer long-range weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On air on Channel 24, military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Alexander Kovalenko answered whether Russia could really strike the territory of Western countries.

A few days after the US gave Ukraine permission to attack Russia, and the Armed Forces attacked military facilities in the Kursk and Bryansk regions, the Russian dictator finally decided to react publicly. In his speech, Putin traditionally threatened the West.

The president of the aggressor country said that from now on Russia can fire missiles at countries that allow their weapons to be used to strike Russian territory.

A military-political observer for the Information Resistance group said that Putin will not dare to strike any target on the territory of Ukraine's allied countries, since most of them are NATO members.

Such a strike is actually the fifth article of collective security. Putin will never do this. In general, his speech is already a lie in itself. From this we can draw the appropriate conclusion – the old man did not take his pills and went out to fantasize a little, – said Kovalenko.

Recall that Putin commented on today's strike on the Dnieper, calling it a response to NATO's “aggressive actions”. According to the dictator, the Russians allegedly used the Russian medium-range Oreshnik system for the attack.

Important! Putin said that the use of the Oreshnik was a response to US plans to produce and deploy medium- and shorter-range missiles.

Why Putin was so angry about the strike on Kursk

Analysts say that Putin has now come out with this statement and is threatening a new strike, which indicates that some important Korean official close to Kim Jong-un was killed in the Kursk region with the help of Storm Shadow.

It is quite possible that some interesting person could have been killed there, the military-political analyst noted.

Firstly, a North Korean army corps is operating in the Kursk region. The facility that was destroyed was a fortified bunker-type command post, not just a communications hub. That is why they used interesting missiles with warheads of the penetrating concrete-piercing type.

Secondly, the historical Baryatinsky estate is located nearby. It is possible that it was used precisely for the purpose of housing high-ranking representatives of the North Korean troops.

I do not rule out that it could even have been a general. Everything that is needed is nearby – both a command post and a rest area. Therefore, there could have been a North Korean general there, for whom Kim Jong-un can ask Putin for another 500 thousand tons of rice and Oreshnik technology, Kovalenko added.

He is inclined to believe that it will be a question of technology transfer. It is unlikely that the DPRK will need “Oreshnik”, Kim Jong-un will need something interesting. For example, aviation or missile technologies.

By the way, analysts believe that this designation “Oreshnik” could well have appeared in the working documentation as part of the work on the missile, which is better known as the RS-26 “Rubezh”. Putin probably called “Rubezh” “Oreshnik” to intimidate the West.
