Putin issued an address with only one intention, and it is not intimidation, – political strategist Alexandra Sadovaya

On the evening of November 21, Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin released an 8-minute video address. His speech was intended exclusively for Russians.

Putin wants to impress the Russian population, which is not thrilled with what is happening. This opinion was voiced to Channel 24 by Russian opposition political strategist Abbas Gallyamov.

Putin Wants to Impress

Abbas Gallyamov noted that there was nothing new in Putin's address. There he announced that a new medium-range missile, the Oreshnik, had been launched against the city of Dnepr, which was supposedly impossible to intercept. However, the occupiers shelled Ukraine with various types of weapons, but the dictator does not necessarily have to make statements about this every time.

Why speak on TV? Putin wants to impress the Russians. He understands that they are not impressed by what is happening. That is why he is fussing, he suggested.

After all, now the people of Russia are more afraid of Putin than any country in the world. Russians see what is happening inside the country. They supported the holding of the so-called “svo” because they thought that the occupiers “would take Kyiv in 3 days.” However, now they are afraid of the consequences for themselves from Russia's war against Ukraine.

Recall that on November 21, Russia attacked the Dnieper with an intercontinental missile. In his address to the Russians, Putin said that the strike by the newest Oreshnik system was a “response to US plans to deploy missiles.” He also added that Russia “prefers peaceful means,” but will respond in kind to threats. At the same time, analysts believe that the strike was carried out by an RS-26 Rubezh intercontinental ballistic missile.
