The Swiss city of Davos hosted the World Economic Forum dedicated to restoring peace and security. Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke at the event and called for more weapons for our state.
Warsaw continues to defend Ukraine's interests, including in the international arena. The forum in Davos was no exception, because during it Duda clearly told the West that the soldiers of the Armed Forces need more modern weapons in order to repulse the Russian invaders.
Russia may attack again
Actually, the leader of Poland fears that Russia is preparing a new offensive against Ukraine within a few months. At the same time, he added that it is extremely important to provide Kyiv with additional support in the form of modern tanks and missiles.
They (the Russians – Channel 24) are still very strong and we are afraid that they are preparing for a new offensive for several months, so it is extremely important to send additional support to Ukraine, including modern tanks and modern missiles, Duda stated at the annual meeting World Economic Forum.
Davos forum: what you need to know
- Note that this year this economic forum was held against the backdrop of news that in Brovary, Kyiv region, helicopter, killing 14 people. Among them were Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin and State Secretary of the Interior Ministry Yury Lubkovich. In addition, more than two dozen people were injured and taken to hospitals.
- First Lady Olena Zelenska came to the forum and learned about this news right before her entry. The network has been circulating footage in which the President's wife is holding back so as not to cry because of what happened. Although, of course, there were tears in her eyes.
- President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke at this event, but online. He focused on the fact that this tragedy in Brovary was not an accident, but the outcome of the war. However, it should be said that so far, law enforcement officers have not established the 100% cause of the crash.
