"Putin– is not crazy": NATO answered if they are ready for a confrontation with Russia

NATO has long believed that they have the military initiative in the world. However, now the member countries of the Alliance are faced with the threat that is Russia.

The strategic goals of this aggressor country go far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Admiral Rob Bauer, head of the NATO Military Committee, stated this in an interview with a Portuguese publication.

NATO is ready for a direct confrontation with Russia

< p dir="ltr">Russia wants to return to the old Soviet Union, he said. It is not the first year that she comes to any country with weapons. So NATO must be ready.

Now we are facing the threat that is Russia. She comes to us uninvited at any moment. So we have to be on the lookout. We don't have time to prepare because it's up to them when they arrive,” said Rob Bauer.

Despite the arrogant and bloodthirsty behavior of the terrorist country, NATO is ready for a direct confrontation with Russia. Before that, however, the Alliance must rearm.

The Threat of Nuclear War

The head of the NATO military committee shared opinions about the possibility of starting a nuclear war. He emphasized that there is good news in all this – Putin is not crazy, which means he can think rationally.

He has ideas that don't match our ideas, but he's not crazy. So, still a rational person. I think this is important regarding the use of nuclear weapons,” the admiral stressed.

He emphasized that it is very important that everyone continue to believe that a nuclear war cannot be waged and will never be won. After all, the opposite can lead to fatal consequences.

Putin's nuclear blackmail

  • According to Russian opposition politician Dmitry Gudkov, blackmailing Putin with a nuclear war cannot be a serious reason for unrest. In fact, his threats are intended to intimidate Western leaders who still cannot even agree on the supply of tanks to Ukraine. Moreover, the Russian leadership understands that nothing will be left of Russia after the use of nuclear weapons.
  • Alexander Solontai, director of practical policy programs at the Institute of Political Education, also believes that Putin will not take such a step, but will demand results on front.
  • Intelligence of Ukraine stressed that today the threat of the use of nuclear weapons is not as urgent as it was in early autumn. Moreover, in Russia, nuclear weapons are one of the elements of intimidation. And if we talk about the use of tactical nuclear weapons, then it will not solve the main strategic task of the enemy.
  • It is interesting that due to the constant threats of the terrorist country to strike with nuclear weapons, the hands of the Doomsday Clock were moved forward, closest to midnight in history. It is midnight that characterizes the moment of global catastrophe.
