Putin is afraid to tell the truth: the Kremlin is trying to replenish the army using three methods Angela Figin

The Russian army has problems with recruitment of new contract workers. Because of this, the enemy troops will be on the defensive in a month or a month and a half, since they will not be able to conduct active offensive operations in several directions at once.

Head Center for Military and Legal Studies Alexander Musienko told Channel 24 what methods the Kremlin uses to replenish its army. By the way, Russia plans to increase the number of people by 100 thousand by the end of 2024 , involved in the war against Ukraine.

How the Kremlin is now replenishing the army

Currently, the occupation army is being replenished in various ways:

  • quiet mobilization from remote regions of Russia;
  • recruiting on contract, especially in cities where there is no work and a bad economic situation;
  • recruitment from Southeast Asia and Africa.

The Russians have sharply and significantly begun to increase payments to those who are ready to go to war. According to the military expert, this is the main indicator that the Kremlin has problems with recruitment.

If everything was fine and the number of so-called contract soldiers was growing, then why pay more. And if they offer more, it means that there is no influx of so-called volunteers who are ready to sign a contract. They are trying to motivate them with money, Musienko noted.

In addition, this once again confirms that Vladimir Putin is not ready to address the people and speak directly about the fact that there are not enough people, Russia has suffered losses and needs to replenish resources.

According to Levada Center polls, in September – October 2022, almost the only time during Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Putin's support fell by 7 – 8% due to the announcement of mobilization. Then the dictator quickly declared that the mobilization was supposedly over, and all because Molotov cocktails started flying into military registration and enlistment offices.

“The Kremlin was scared by these outbursts and put the mobilization on hold. It is still going on: summonses are sent out, the mobilized man comes to the military registration and enlistment office and is told to sign a contract. That is why there are no mobilized men, but there are contract soldiers,” added the head of the Center for Military Legal Studies.
