Putin has fear: Svitan named 2 tasks of escorting the dictator’s plane across Russian territory Victoria Grabovskaya

Vladimir Putin began to fly over Russian territory for the first time since the beginning of the war, accompanied by fighter jets. Residents of Yakutsk noticed at least one Su-30SM, which was guarding the head of the Kremlin.

Previously, fighter jets accompanied Putin's plane only abroad. Military expert, instructor pilot and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Roman Svitan told Channel 24 that Putin could have resorted to such precautions after the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin in a plane crash.

Can cover a flight of planes

As is known, the private plane of the owner of the Wagner PMC crashed on August 23, 2023. According to one version, the plane crash could have occurred as a result of the aircraft being fired upon from the ground.

After the death or simulated death of Prigozhin, the Russian dictator realized that any aircraft can be destroyed using various means of destruction, including MANPADS.

Putin understands this, and he developed a certain fear of flying. That is why there is a fighter jet flying next to his plane, and probably more than one, the instructor pilot suggested.

According to him, there must be a pair of planes, or maybe even a link – two pairs of fighters that cover the Russian “aircraft number 1” at different intervals.

These fighters have 2 tasks:

  • to destroy with the weapons they have any missile or aircraft that could threaten Putin’s plane;
  • to expose their own plane if necessary under attack.

“This task can be set and accomplished,” Roman Svitan emphasized.

Recall that Putin arrived in North Korea on June 18. On the way there, he made a stop in Yakutia, where the fighters escorting the Kremlin leader's plane were spotted.
