Putin collected hundreds of aircraft units near Ukraine: is it possible to carry out an immediate massive strike

It is not advisable for Russia to make a momentary attack with its own aircraft. The Kremlin does not have enough airborne troops to develop possible success in specific areas.

Russia is accumulating aviation forces solely to respond to a possible counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ivan Stupak, an expert from the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, told about this.

The expert believes that the enemy will not use its aviation forces for a momentary strike.

“This will not be a one-time attack, like the Spanish Armada. So they can shoot themselves, not understanding where they are and where they are strangers. Anything can happen, including a collision of planes in the air,” Stupak explained.

According to him, for Russia there is no expediency for such an attack without amphibious operations.

Air dominance is one thing, but no war has been won solely by air dominance because a ground operation is also needed. But there are almost no landing troops in Russia and there is no such category. They were mostly destroyed in Gostomel, Vasilkov and other regions of Ukraine,” said the ex-SBU officer.

In his opinion, for this reason, the command of the Russian troops will not carry out a one-time attack, but will send military formations to separate parts of Ukraine – to repel the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Aviation threat from Russia: what is known

  • The occupying country is increasing the number of aircraft near the Ukrainian borders. Now our country has about 800 units of enemy aircraft. The invaders drove 150 attack helicopters to the Ukrainian border, said Yury Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • On Independence Day, in order to keep Ukrainians on their toes throughout the day, infidels raised aircraft and simulated missile launches.
  • In total, on Independence Restoration Day, air raid alerts sounded a record 189 times throughout the country and in Kyiv. The previous “record” was recorded on April 23 – on the eve of Easter, the sirens worked 103 times.
