Russian human rights activists claim that Putin began preparing an attack on Ukraine immediately after Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election.
This is stated in the report international human rights organization “Agora”, dedicated to the month of the war against Ukraine.
Biden's victory for Russia meant the beginning of the war
According to the report, a series of meetings of the Russian Security Council became the start of the campaign to prepare for an attack on Ukraine in November 2020.
In the same month, presidential elections were held in the United States. The Kremlin was counting on the victory of Donald Trump. Since Biden won, for Moscow this meant an inevitable resumption of confrontation.
