Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a law on the inadmissibility of the use of foreign words at the state level. The exceptions are those that have no analogues in the Russian language and are contained in standard dictionaries.
This was reported on the legal information portal, Channel 24 informs. So, in the normative dictionaries, a list of foreign words that have analogues in the Russian language, the use of which is permissible, will be recorded.

The law says that when using the Russian language, it is not allowed to use words and expressions that “do not correspond to the norms of the modern Russian literary language,” with the exception of foreign words that do not have commonly used analogues in the Russian language and are listed in standard dictionaries.
The relevant document notes that when using the Russian language as the state language in the areas of its mandatory use, Russians must comply with the norms of the modern Russian language. They are understood as a set of linguistic means and the rules for their use, which are fixed in normative dictionaries, reference books and grammars.

In December 2022, Vladimir Putin banned Russians from holding protests on the premises of government agencies; schools, hospitals and their vicinity; at airports and ports; at railway stations; in churches and near them and near life-support facilities.
Earlier, Russians had already banned mass actions near Putin's residences, courts, emergency operational services and the federal penitentiary service.
The dictator's new law provides that local authorities can adjust restrictions and introduce new ones. Such actions are “conditioned by the historical, cultural, and other objective characteristics of the subject.”
