Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Moscow on Friday, July 5, where he met and spoke with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. After their discussion, the head of the Kremlin said that “Ukraine does not want a settlement of the war.”

Russian media write about this, 24 Channel reports.

Putin said that Kyiv does not want to settle the war

The Russian dictator said that he discussed possible ways to resolve the situation in Ukraine with Orban.

The Russian dictator said that the Hungarian prime minister spoke about his meetings in Kyiv, where he proposed a ceasefire.

Russia remains open to discussing a settlement in Ukraine, but Kyiv does not want this, Putin said.

The head of the Kremlin also noted that Orban called for a ceasefire in order to “create conditions for negotiations on Ukraine.”

Note that the head of the Hungarian government himself said that after visiting Kyiv and Moscow, he realized that “the positions of the parties are far apart.”

Recall that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Moscow on July 5 on an official visit and met with Russian President Putin.

However, such a visit by the head of the Hungarian government did not receive approval from the world leaders. They criticized Orban.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also responded to Orban's trip to the Kremlin master. Thus, the department noted that the decision to carry out this trip was made by the Hungarian side without agreement or coordination with Ukraine.
