Ukraine must once and for all get rid of the rudiments of everything Russian/”Today” “Russian world”? In the past two months, teachers of the Ukrainian language, literature and history have been subjected to repression by Russians in the occupied territories.
Russia is returning to where its offspring is
The place is still unknown finding the deputy of the Melitopol education department, who refused to introduce the Russian language in the city's schools. In Irpen, Bucha, Gostomel, our teachers were purposefully killed.
The Russians are well aware that where their language and culture is, they have a chance to return and try to seize these territories. That is why the reform of decommunization and historical memory has been and remains one of the most important if we are talking about overcoming the imperial past and destroying the metastases of the “Russian world”.
The direction of the ship is still relevant
Now, when we talk about de-Russification and de-communization, it is necessary to return our toponyms and delete representatives of the “Russian world” from our cultural and historical existence. Pushkin, Bulgakov and other Ukrainian-phobic troubadours of the Russian Empire follow the ship.
And at the end of the discussion, let's ask ourselves the question: what civilization do we associate ourselves with? Whose values are close to us? Who brought us more good, and who brought only death, looting, murder?
The monuments in our European capital must be connected with that civilization. And the “Russian world” should follow the “Russian ship”.
