— For more than a year I was in the combat zone side by side with the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade named after. Yakov Handzyuk. During our cooperation, the brigade was commanded by the famous Vadim Olegovich Sukharevsky and Maxim Aleksandrovich Stetsenko, a military professional. But because of the “brilliant” official decisions and family ties of the senior military leadership with Shevchuk Bogdan Vladimirovich, the latter was appointed to the post of the KBR 59 Mechanized Infantry Brigade from April 2024, — says the military man.

Ekaterina Polishchuk called on President Zelensky to conduct an internal audit of Bohdan Shevchuk, since thousands of military personnel still remain to carry out combat missions in the combat zone under his leadership.
— I ask you, Supreme Commander-in-Chief, to pay attention and conduct an internal investigation into the facts of criminal orders, conscious negligence, disregard for the life and health of personnel, actions that led to the death of a large number of military personnel, including those from high leadership positions, selfishness, blind careerism , elimination of all “dissenters” commanders, suppression of morale and humiliation of personnel by complete indifference to the main goal of the military personnel and him as a commander in a war with the enemy.
Ptasha stated that due to the “inhuman and unprofessional attitude” of Shevchuk, she is forced to stop cooperating with this brigade, and noted that not everyone has such an opportunity — to resist criminal orders that are aimed solely at “getting additional stars for this person”.
— I ask you to take measures and remove from making important military decisions people who are not interested in preserving personnel, completing tasks and winning. Military honor and the honor of an officer are not empty words. At least, they should not be like that, — emphasized the military.
In turn, officer of the 59th brigade Sergei Tsekhotsky in a comment to hromadske stated that Ekaterina Polischuk did not serve in the brigade, but collaborated with it as a volunteer.
— Drawing conclusions and assessing the work of any commander is completely wrong. To do this, you need to have a certain education, knowledge, and so on. And to give an assessment because someone said something somewhere… Our brigade has been holding this intensive defense in this direction for months, practically without giving up its positions. There are losses, unfortunately, we are taking this very painfully. In order to say that this commander is good and that one is bad, you need to have some grounds, — said Tsekhotsky.
According to him, if he had witnessed what Ptashka described, he would have definitely reacted to it, since he has the right to do so, the relevant knowledge and experience. The officer of the 59th brigade also claims that their commander, despite his young age, is going out of his way to do something and provide for it.
Tsekhotsky noted that Ptashka's words hit the morale, and in general such things cannot be made public.
