Andriy Anofriev could have fought on the side of illegal armed groups in the Lugansk region, and now he heads Dneprovagonremstroy. The man is under investigation because of links with terrorists.
This is stated in a new investigation by BihusInfo journalists. They noted that Anofriyev organized and led his own terrorist group, which accused several crimes against the civilian population of the region.
In particular, in the messages the Security Service of Ukraine mentions the illegal imprisonment of people. In addition, they are charged with the murder of an SBU employee in 2014, but Anofriev was detained only in 2021.
“Anofriev led a checkpoint on the bridge across the Seversky Donets. However, he quarreled with the leaders of the pseudo-republic and returned to territory controlled by Ukraine,” the investigation said.
Until now, he manages the enterprise
Journalists noted that upon returning to Ukraine, Anofriev did not hide. Since 2014, he has lived a full political life. The man managed to head the state enterprise Ukrspetsvagon, which belonged to the structure of Ukrzaliznytsia. In 2015, he ran for the Kharkiv Regional Council from the Our Land party, published photos with terrorists.
In 2019, Anofriev became the general director of the Dneprovsky car repair plant. He remains to this day. The enterprise is not state-owned, but has been successfully working with it for a long time,” the investigators said.
Anofriyev was detained in April 2021 and a preventive measure was chosen – night house arrest. However, already in September 2022, the plant signed an agreement with the Ukrainian Research Institute of Carriage Building, and in December signed a contract for the overhaul of gondola cars with the state-owned enterprise Vostochny Mining and Processing Plant.
