Ukraine needs additional air defense systems and millions of drones for brigades on the front lines.

Umerov announced an ambitious goal for equipping Ukrainian brigades with drones: several million units by 2025.

The minister also announced the expansion of the DOT-Chain system to include UAV purchases.
“Combat units will be able to independently select and order the necessary drones in the system, while the state will pay for such orders,” the head of the Ministry of Defense explained.
Umerov confirmed the consistency of Ukraine’s position on a peaceful settlement.
“We support the idea of a long-term ceasefire and an exchange of all for all. We continue to work with our allies, in particular the United States, to organize a meeting at the level of leaders,” the minister said.
He paid special attention to the topic of air defense and protection of Ukrainian cities.
According to him, Ukraine needs additional air defense systems and missiles for them, which it is working on with partners. At the same time, there are already effective solutions for interceptor drones.
Umerov also revealed details of the new large-scale project Build with Ukraine, which has already begun to be implemented with allies.
Within its framework, partners will create new factories together with Ukrainian defense companies.
“The weapons from these factories will strengthen our soldiers during the war,” the Minister of Defense emphasized.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the opening of drone and missile production in Europe as part of the Build with Ukraine program.
According to him, Ukraine will transfer relevant technologies to certain states to organize joint production of weapons – drones, missiles, possibly artillery, which will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and partners.
