At a time when the whole country is uniting to counter the invaders, some betray their homeland and help the enemy. So, in Zaporozhye, a deputy of the village council was detained on suspicion of collaborationism.
The traitor turned out to be a deputy of the Veliko-Belozersky village council of the Vasilyevsky district. In March, the Russian military temporarily occupied his village.
The deputy provided the enemy with building materials and his own car
According to the investigation, the deputy voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the enemy. Since he was the director and co-owner of agricultural enterprises in the region, he had free access to production facilities. The traitor began to provide the Russian military, who are killing civilian Ukrainians and destroying our cities, food and fuel and lubricants.
Moreover, the deputy provided enemy units with building materials, with which they strengthened their military posts in order to conduct military operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The collaborator even gave the Russians his car. That is, the local official actually helped the Russians to seize Ukraine.
What punishment threatens the collaborator
Members of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the deputy when he was on his way to Zaporozhye for treatment.
Domestic medicine will certainly help him, but Ukrainian justice is guaranteed to “cure” him, the regional military administration noted .
The court has already taken the collaborator into custody. Now he faces up to 15 years in prison and confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation continues.
