On one of the Russian channels, the propagandist called for the recognition of the defeat of the Russian army in the Kharkiv region. Moreover, he tried to justify the occupiers by saying that they are fighting against the “most powerful” enemy.

Interestingly, researchers from the Institute for the Study of War said that Moscow has openly admitted defeat for the first time since the invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Kremlin officials and propagandists are actively discussing the reasons for Russia's defeat in the Kharkiv region.
The ISW noted that the Kremlin had never previously admitted defeat around Kyiv or, subsequently, on Snake Island. For example, the Russians presented the retreat from Kyiv as a decision to prioritize the “liberation” of Donbass, and the exit from Serpents' Island as a “goodwill gesture”.
