Vladimir Putin announced on December 8 that he would run for president of Russia. The so-called “elections” will take place on March 15–17, 2024.

Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko commented on this news< strong> 24 Channel. According to him, the presidential elections in Russia will last three days for a reason.

“First of all, to maximize turnout and, of course, to manipulate voting procedure. This once again demonstrates the uniqueness of the elections themselves in Russia. This is all a performance that should demonstrate the democracy of the elections, but in fact, as Peskov said, this is a bureaucratic procedure,” Fesenko noted.

Approximate results are already known

During the presidential elections in Russia they will pretend to be competitive – supposedly there are several candidates. At the same time, everything is done so that Putin has an advantage, and other potential candidates have little time to prepare.

One of the tricky goals of this propaganda show is aimed at the West and partly at us, to demonstrate that there are supposedly elections in Russia, but there are no elections in Ukraine. They are already pushing this issue,” Fesenko noted.

The approximate results of the elections in Russia are programmed in advance:

  • turnout – no less than 70–75%;
  • < li>Putin’s result – about 80%.

The political scientist emphasized that the high number demonstrates support not only for Putin, but also for the war against Ukraine. It is for this purpose that “persuasion” was orchestrated in Russia by the heads of quasi-republics.
