Russia wanted to exchange civilians for prisoners of war/Office of the President

Russian occupiers are massively kidnapping Ukrainian civilians in order to replenish the “exchange fund”. The Russians are grossly violating the Geneva Convention when they demand the dismissal of prisoners of war in exchange for civilian Ukrainians.

Occupiers are holding about a thousand Ukrainians

Vice Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said that Russia during prisoner exchanges with Ukraine, she wanted to exchange civilian Ukrainians for Russian prisoners of war. She stressed that this is prohibited by the Geneva Convention.

The Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories stated that infidels are keeping about a thousand Ukrainians, including 500 women.

According to our information, there are more than a thousand hostages, including about 500 women. We know that they are in prisons and pre-trial detention centers in Kursk, Bryansk, Ryazan, Rostov,” she said.

Ukraine refuses to conduct an exchange if there are no women on the list

According to Vereshchuk, Russian infidels refuse to return civilian women. She noted that Ukraine refuses to exchange prisoners if there are no women on the list.

The minister noted that the exchange is the only chance to save Ukrainian women.

Vereshchuk also said that Ukrainians were tortured in Russia. According to her, cynical infidels amputated people's limbs, inflicted injuries, etc.

She said that after the last exchange, nine people were injured.

Note . Back in March, Russia admitted that they were capturing civilian Ukrainians and then exchanging them for Russian prisoners. This happened after the infidels kidnapped Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov and exchanged him for prisoners.
