Leaders of many countries visited the liberated villages in the Kiev region to see the atrocities of the Russians with their own eyes. Today, May 26, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin arrived in Irpin.

The politician examined the situation in the city and what Irpin looks like now. The consequences of the occupation of Sunny Marine were shown by the secretary of the Irpin City Council Anzhela Makeeva.

She showed the consequences of the “Russian world” that the invaders left behind. We discussed issues of assistance in the restoration of our city, because Irpin suffered the most damage, more than 70% of the city, and became the shield of Kyiv,” Makeeva said.

She also thanked Finland for having a firm international position on territorial integrity Ukraine. In addition, she noted the introduction of tough sanctions against Russia for military support and assistance.

“Only by joint efforts we will defeat the Russian evil,” the secretary is convinced.

Finland joins NATO

  • After the Russian attack on Ukraine, Europe began to wonder if its security was reliable. Finland and Sweden, having common borders with Russia, were also afraid of aggression. The countries remained neutral, but decided to join NATO. Thus, the Alliance has a chance to expand and increase its borders and presence on the territory of Russia. This is what she is afraid of.
  • But for these countries, everything turned out to be not so simple. After all, after they officially applied, Turkey officially and seriously stated that it was against their entry. Among the reasons given was that these countries allegedly support terrorists. This is the PKK. There were also a number of other reproaches.
  • The governments of both countries are trying to resolve these misunderstandings, which are prevented from joining NATO. Therefore, the delegations of Sweden and Finland traveled to Turkey to discuss with their officials ways of a possible compromise. The results should be later, but everyone hopes that they will be positive.
