Prigozhin's fighters will be enough for 6-9 months: the adviser of the Ministry of Internal Affairs gave an assessment

It's no secret that Wagner PMC fighters fight in the hottest spots of the East. However, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to “utilize” the Wagnerites at the same pace, then they will not last long.

This was stated by Vadim Denisenko, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs. According to him, Prigozhin's “resource” will soon run out.

How long the Wagnerites will last

Prigozhin's maximum mobilization potential is about 100,000 people. Denisenko notes that with the current intensity of “utilization” of the Wagnerites, this will last for 6-9 months.

In Prigozhin's reserve there are several convicts who have not yet been recruited and have a bunch of outstanding loans. But, according to the adviser, these people may “run out” before the end of 2023.

The Russian Ministry of Defense understands this very well, and Prigozhin himself understands this. Therefore, his war with Shoigu is a war for his future,” Denisenko said.

Recall that the GUR told about the real role of Prigozhin in the war. It is noted that Prigozhin has two roles: media and political. He does not directly control combat detachments, he does not head the headquarters. That is, its task is to provide a resource base, financing.

The United States imposed another package of sanctions on Russia: what is known

  • 26 January, the US Treasury announced new sanctions against Russia. The restrictions apply to ship repair enterprises, as well as structures and persons associated with the Wagner PMC and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin.
  • The United States also officially recognized the Russian private military company Wagner as a transnational criminal organization. All the company's assets in the United States were frozen due to assistance to the Russian military in the war in Ukraine.
  • The Wagner PMC itself, as well as the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Tula, Ivan Prokopenko, were included in the list of sanctions. It is known that he provided support and recruited prisoners to the Wagner PMC.
  • In addition, numerous legal entities and individuals on different continents that support the military operations of the Wagner group fell under US sanctions.
