In Kyiv, the organization of traffic on the busiest sections of roads will change due to the flooding of several metro stations in the capital.
Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko announced this after the completion of the State Commission on Technogenic-Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.
What will change in the capital's traffic
- will increase the capacity of public transport,
- will adjust the timing of switching traffic lights,
- will be moved for the convenience of public transport stops,
- some road signs will change,
- will increase patrol work.
Such innovations are being introduced, notes Igor Klimenko, in order to prevent a transport collapse in the capital due to an increase in the number of surface public transport after the closure of subway stations.
