A military aggravation between Armenia and Azerbaijan began in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Igor Semivolos, President of the Center for Middle East Studies, spoke about this on Channel 24. According to him, official Yerevan remains neutral regarding the war in Ukraine.

“In Armenia itself, there are forces that oppose the war and support Ukraine, but there are forces that are for the war,” Semivolos said.< /p>

Recognize Crimea as Russian

According to the President of the Center, there are military formations in Armenia that prefer to fight and send their mercenaries to Ukraine. That is, the situation is rather complicated.

“I don't think that Moscow is seriously considering Armenia's participation in the war, but it is obvious that they can use this circumstance as an element of pressure on Pashinyan (Armenian Prime Minister – Channel 24), to force recognition of certain political realities that are beneficial to Russia – Crimea and illegal formations,” Semivolos said.

What is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Armenia stated that Azerbaijan is advancing towards the village of Parukh and Khramort of the Askeran region. However, Baku refutes the information and calls it an attempt to confuse the public. However, the Azerbaijani military does not return to their positions.
