Pregnant woman injured in Russian air strikes in Zaporizhia region

As a result of Russian shelling of the Zaporizhia region on June 20, a pregnant woman was injured. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.

The woman received a mine blast injury to her abdomen

— The victim with mine-explosive trauma to the limbs and abdomen is now being taken to the hospital. She is being given all the necessary assistance, — he said.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, Fedorov reported an air raid alert in the region, warning of a threat from enemy drones. He also noted that air defense units were operating in the region.

Russian armed forces regularly carry out attacks on Ukrainian territory using a wide range of weapons – attack drones, missiles, aerial bombs (ABs) and multiple launch rocket systems.

Now watching

Despite numerous instances of civilian infrastructure being hit, Russian authorities continue to deny that the Russian army is deliberately shelling residential areas and critical infrastructure during a full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian officials and international organizations have repeatedly noted that the Russian shelling bears the hallmarks of deliberate war crimes.

Let us recall that on the night of June 17, a series of explosions thundered in Zaporozhye; the Russians launched at least four strikes on the city.

As a result of the attack, destruction was recorded at several enterprises where fires broke out. A multi-story building and a dormitory were damaged. No one was hurt.
