On Friday, a natural disaster visited the British city of Aldershot. A tornado swept through there.

The tornado passed about 2 kilometers from Aldershot shortly after 12:00 Kyiv time.

There are no casualties reported. Authorities have urged residents to call emergency services if they see damaged trees that they believe could be dangerous.

Strong winds are known to have damaged several homes and knocked down trees.

Videos from doorbell cameras have emerged on social media showing debris being kicked up into the air by the wind. Roof tiles were seen on roads and pavements in the Aldershot area.

It should be noted that the UK averages around 30 tornadoes a year.

The Aldershot storm is linked to active thunderstorms in the south. The tornado arrived a day after the weather service issued a thunderstorm warning and a week after temperatures in the south of the country regularly exceeded 20 degrees.
