Despite the so-called Christmas “truce” declared by the enemy, shelling of our positions continued on January 7th. In the occupied territories, the Russians turned off Ukrainian television.
The occupiers fired at the positions of our units on tanks, mortars and cannon artillery. During the day, the enemy launched an air strike and made 7 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russians are concentrating their forces on conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Liman directions, and are also trying to improve the tactical situation in the Kupyansky direction. At the same time, the Russians are defending in the Novopavlovsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson directions.
Situation across the board
- The situation remains the same in the Volyn and Polesye directions .
- In the Slobozhansky direction, the Russians fired at the areas of the settlements of Strelka, Staritsa, Volchansk and Ogurtsovo of the Kharkov region.
- On the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, they hit in the areas of 13 settlements. In particular, these are Ivanovka, Dvurechnaya, Gryanikovka, Kotlyarovka, Berestovo and Vishnevoe in the Kharkiv region and Ploshchadka, Nevskoe, Krasnopopovka and Dibrova in the Lugansk region.
- In the Bakhmut direction , the enemy fired on more than 15 settlements. Among them are Verkhnekamennoye, Berestovoe, Belogorovka, Vesele, Krasnaya Gora, Bakhmut, Klescheevka, Belaya Gora, Majorsk and New York in the Donetsk region.
- In the Avdiivka direction , Berdichi, Avdiivka, Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region were under fire from infidels.
- Bolshaya Novoselka, Vuhledar, Prechistovka and Nikolskoye in Donetsk region were shelled in the Novopavlovsk direction .
- In the Zaporizhia direction , the areas of 16 settlements were under fire. In particular, Vremovka of Donetsk and Olgovskaya, Poltavka, Malinovka, Dorozhnyanka, Zheleznodorozhnoye, Lugovskoye, Shcherbaki and Stepne of Zaporozhye region.
- In the Kherson direction , civilian infrastructure in the districts of 17 settlements suffered from mortar and artillery shelling. In particular, Republican, Novoberislav, Burgunka, Kherson, Ivanovka, Ponyatovka, Ingulets, Engineering, Nikolskoe and Pridneprovskoe.
TV broadcast stopped
In the occupied Melitopol and Priazovskiy, the Russians suspended the broadcasting of all Ukrainian TV channels. So far, only Russian television is broadcast there.
Aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on 21 enemy concentration areas in a day, as well as 3 strikes on the positions of its anti-aircraft missile systems. Our missilemen and gunners hit 4 areas of concentration of manpower and 2 enemy ammunition depots.
