Russian propagandists and the governor of the Bryansk region on March 2 said that a “Ukrainian DRG” had penetrated the territory of one of the Russian villages, but this is more like a Russian provocation. While this looks like a symbolic allusion to the Kremlin, there is no need to talk about the mass nature of such incidents.
This was reported to Channel 24 by Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin. He considers such armed uprisings the only possible way to overthrow the Russian government.
The situation proved that armed people could appear on the territory of Russia, with whom it is not easy to negotiate, but even more so to threaten them, Feigin noted. Therefore, the Russians had such a hysterical reaction: “there was a chill of the end.”
Today there are 6, 10, 20, I don’t know how many there are, but tomorrow there will be a thousand, tomorrow it will appear in Moscow at all. This is certainly what the Kremlin fears most of all – armed resistance, – the speaker added.
new phenomenon
The so-called local liberals are also afraid of such events, the opposition leader said. They still hope that everything will change in some magical peaceful way.
This will not happen, the authorities in Russia will change in this way, if they now have a chance to change. There is no other chance and there will not be, these illusions are insignificant,” the human rights activist emphasized.
He added that the fact that the Russians took up arms is a completely new phenomenon, this has not happened on the territory of Russia for a long time. He is not sure that entire armies of militias can appear, but rare cases already indicate the emergence of a new narrative in the resistance to the regime.

The incident in the Bryansk region: what is known
- On the morning of March 2, people in Russia began to say that an alleged “Ukrainian DRG” had infiltrated one of the Russian villages near the border. They came up with various false stories about the death of people and the injury of a child.
- It is interesting, as if the “Ukrainian DRG” could be in a village close to the border with Ukraine. It is logical that the Russian military should be there. But it turns out that the Russian border is now completely unprotected.
- Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak noted that this situation in the Bryansk region has nothing to do with Ukraine. The Ukrainian military work only in the temporarily occupied territories, because there is much more important work there.
